Dressmaker FAQ
I answered these from the 7 September and 21 September 2026 Steam posts, the store categories, and the language list. The FAQ video's description box was empty, so the video is linked and not paraphrased.
Languages on Steam: English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese, each with full audio. Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, and German are not in that list. See the language pages before you install a patch someone else made.

Questions people ask
How long does it take to beat Dressmaker?
The studio said about 35 hours of story commissions, not counting off-the-rack work.
Does Dressmaker have a demo?
A free prototype, version 0.5.5, is on itch.io. It is not the Steam game and it does not run in the browser.
Was generative AI used?
The 7 September 2026 price post says they do not do that, in the same sentence as ads, data harvesting, and microtransactions.
Is there multiplayer?
No multiplayer category on Steam. The launch roadmap mentions a future online challenge mode with no date.
Is there a sandbox?
Off-the-rack selling is the freeform channel the studio described. A mode named creative was not listed.
Will it teach me to sew real clothes?
It is a cozy job sim. Public descriptions say measuring is simplified and cloth is not physically simulated. It does not claim to be a sewing course.
Are there men in the game?
The ten named customers in the achievement text are women. A menswear option was not confirmed.
Is it for teens?
No ESRB or PEGI rating was on the materials I checked. I will not invent an age badge.
