How much Dressmaker costs
I read the 7 September 2026 price announcement and then refreshed the US store page on 1 October 2026. The announcement promised $14.99, regional pricing, and 10 percent off at launch. The store page that day showed $14.99 with no discount.
What the studio said is in the price
The same post answers a pile of suspicions in one line: microtransactions, ads, data harvesting, and generative AI. The wording is "We don't do that." They also described about 35 hours of story commissions, not counting off-the-rack work, plus 150 or more dress parts, 450 or more fabrics, and 350 or more accessories, drawn in-house. Later updates were described as free. They mentioned social giveaways for people who cannot pay. I do not have a list of who received a key.
Buy it on Steam. A day after launch the studio said the game had already earned back its cost. That is their figure, dated 22 September 2026.
I am not printing a real, lira, or ruble price. The announcement says regional pricing exists and does not list those amounts.
Is the game free?
The full game is not free. The itch.io prototype 0.5.5 is free and is an older desktop build. Steam keys from anywhere except Steam are outside what I could verify.
