How to make money in Dressmaker
I looked for an official cheat. The price post and the achievement list do not contain a money code. What they do contain is Opulence and Excess: spend more than 5,000 gold on a successful dress. That is a sink, not a printer.
Build 403 fixed failed commissions not paying when the character accepts the dress. Acceptance is the condition in the patch note; it does not promise that every failure pays. No payout formula is published here.
What players actually do
- Sew story commissions. Reputation opens pricier cloth and parts, which raises what a later job can cost.
- Use the off-the-rack rack as a sandbox. Community guides say a dress made only of free burlap returns the whole sale price because the cloth cost nothing.
- Prototype expensive ideas in burlap before you buy the fashion fabric.
Those three bullets are community practice, not a studio spreadsheet. I am not publishing a profit table.
Check the actual burlap price before relying on a zero-cost margin. The community guide calls it free. A 5.00 inventory entry without a unit label is not a shop price. No current payout formula is confirmed.

Trainers and "cheat in money" searches are answered on mods: no official trainer, and a third-party mod loader that does not print gold.
